Here you will find some of the best hiking trails. There are mountains to climb, or test your skills at one of the bike trails near by. With pretty villages and the sea close by, there are activities to keep the whole family entertained.
Dyfi Bike Park
Dyfi Bike park, only 8.5 miles from us, Is perfectly located to explore some of the best riding in Europe. from local trail riding spots and pump tracks to the other awesome bike parks within an hour’s drive.
Cader Idris
Cader Idris Mountain can be seen from our campsite. With the start of the hike up the mountain just a short distance away. Some say this hike is even more rewarding than summiting Snowdon. If summiting seems a bit much, there is a shorter hike just to the Lake, with a beautiful sandy shore, this is a perfect place to go with a dog or the family.
Coed Y Brenin Bike Centre
The UK’s first mountain bike trail centre, Coed y Brenin has miles of exceptional singletracks for experienced riders and great family trails for all abilities. There are also plenty of walking trails and a cafe where you can warm up and refuel.
Portmeirion. Italian Village
Portmeirion is an enchanting Italian style village on the coast of North Wales. Designed and built by Sir Clough Williams Ellis from 1925 to 1975 and then lovingly restored in 1988. Close enough for a day trip and perfect for the whole family.
Historic town Dolgellau
Located 1.2 miles from us. Dolgellau is one of the most beautiful places in Snowdonia. It’s a fabulous base to explore Snowdonia with many places to eat or drink. Click on picture to discover more about Dolgellau.
Corris Craft Centre

New Precipice Walk
New Precipice Walk offers superb views from the Arran Mountains to the East, to Barmouth and beyond to the west and all the while you gaze down on the meandering Mawddach Estuary with a beautiful view of Penmaenpool and it's wooden toll bridge.
Mawddach Trail
This beautiful short ride in Mid Wales runs along the spectacular Mawddach Estuary below the foothills of Cadair Idris. As you cycle along the old railway line from the historic town of Dolgellau to the popular seaside town of Barmouth you’ll pass stunning scenery and two interesting wooden bridges.

Mach Loop
The "Mach Loop" is a series of valleys situated between Machynlleth and Dolgellau, it is a popular training route for low flying jet planes and some larger American planes such as the Hercules and Osprey. The route benefits from steep hillsides where you can find a spot to set up your camera or a picnic and watch the show.
Bwlchgwyn Pony Trekking
Located only 8 miles away from us. Bwlchgwyn Farm offers many Pony Trekking and Horse riding activities to choose from. You can trek along the beach or go for a hack beneath the mountains. They offer horse riding lessons and horse holiday packages.
Local Beaches
We have beautiful beaches nearby, including Barmouth, Fairbourne and also a little further, Aberdyfi.
